Modifier Pricing
Privacy Policy
Last updated 26 August 2026
The short version
Your add-ons live in your own store catalogue, not in our database. We keep a small amount of operational data about your installation — which site, which plan, what bulk changes you ran. We never store your shoppers' personal details, and we never store payment information at all.
This policy covers Modifier Pricing, an app for Wix Stores operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("Aarsiv Group", "we", "us"), a company registered in India under number [COMPANY REGISTRATION NUMBER], registered office [REGISTERED ADDRESS].
Who is responsible for what
When it comes to your shoppers' data, you are the controller and we are a processor acting on your instructions. You decide what to sell and what to collect; we only handle what the platform passes us in order to work out a price.
For data about your installation — your site, your plan, your usage — we are the controller.
What we store
We keep the following, and nothing else:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Site ID and app instance ID | To tell one installation from another and apply the right settings |
| Your plan, and which store catalogue version your site uses | To apply plan limits, and to know whether the app can work on your store at all |
| Install, uninstall and plan-change events | To operate billing correctly and understand how the app is used |
| A record of bulk changes: which add-on, which product IDs, when, and the result | So you can see what a bulk run did, and so it can be reversed |
| Aggregate counts of how often surcharges were calculated, and whether they succeeded | To detect when merchants are silently losing surcharges because our service was slow |
Product IDs and add-on IDs are references to your own catalogue. They are not personal data about anybody.
Shopper data — what we see and what we keep
This is the part worth being precise about, because it is the part most policies are vague on.
When a shopper reaches your cart or checkout, the platform asks our service to work out the surcharge. That request includes the items in the cart and, depending on the stage of checkout, the buyer's contact details — which can include a name, email address, phone number and delivery address — because the platform sends the whole checkout context to any service that prices part of it.
We use only the cart items. We do not read, use, log or store the buyer's contact details. They pass through memory while the request is answered, which takes well under a second, and are then gone.
We do not build shopper profiles, we do not track shoppers across sites, and we do not set cookies on your storefront.
What we never have
- Payment details. Card numbers never reach us. Your shoppers pay through your store's payment provider, and you pay us through the Wix App Market.
- Your customer list. We do not read or export your contacts.
- Order contents beyond the current cart. We see a cart while pricing it. We do not have a copy of your order history.
- The text your shoppers type. An engraving message is stored by your store on the order, not by us.
Where your add-ons actually live
The options and add-ons you create are written into your own store catalogue using the platform's own catalogue features. They are your data, in your account, under the platform's own privacy terms. If you uninstall our app, they stay.
This is deliberate. It means we are not holding your product configuration hostage, and it means a failure on our side cannot lose it.
Who else is involved
We use a small number of providers to run the service:
- Wix — hosts the app and processes all billing.
- [HOSTING PROVIDER, e.g. Vercel] — runs our supporting service.
- [DATABASE PROVIDER, e.g. Neon] — stores the operational data listed in section 2.
We do not sell data, and we do not share it with advertisers. Ever.
Where data is held, and international transfers
Our supporting service and database are hosted in [REGION, e.g. the EU]. We are established in India, so operational data may be accessed by us from India.
Where personal data of people in the EEA or UK is involved, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Given section 3, the volume of such data is minimal — we do not retain shopper personal data at all.
How long we keep things
- Installation and plan records: while the app is installed, then 12 months.
- Bulk change history: 12 months, so a change stays reversible for a sensible period.
- Aggregate counts: up to 24 months.
- Shopper contact details: not retained.
Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, to object to processing, or to complain to a data protection authority. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you have comparable rights, including the right to nominate someone to act for you.
Write to info@aarsivgroups.com and we will respond within 30 days. Uninstalling the app also removes your installation record on the schedule above.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to the operational database is restricted to the people who run the service. Because we hold so little — no payment data, no shopper details, no catalogue copy — the damage a breach could do is limited by design rather than only by controls.
If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
Children
The app is a business tool for store owners and is not directed at children.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
